FloorworX Transport is an embossed fibre-reinforced vinyl floor covering designed to meet the requirements of the coach and bus industry for durability, slip resistance, ease of cleaning and resistance to aggressive agents. FloorworX Transport is available in sheeting form and consists of a glass fibre screen stabilised vinyl core with Silicon Carbide particles embedded in the upper layer and non-woven fibre incorporates in the under layer.

Installation

FloorworX Transport sheeting must be installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations. The sub-floor must be dust-free, smooth, level and dry. The sub-floor panels must be correctly aligned, with no difference in level between panels, and joints and screw heads must be sealed. Note that the manner in which the sub-floor is prepared will have a significant bearing on the quality and longevity of the floor covering.

If a cove former is used, it must be installed during the sub-floor preparation stage using FloorworX No. 71 contact adhesive.

FloorworX Transport sheeting must be allowed to relax for 24 hours at a uniform temperature of between 18°C and 27°C prior to installation. It is essential that during the course of installation the material be rolled in both directions with an articulated 68kg three sectional metal floor roller.
