In collaboration with COBA, FloorworX now offers a premium entrance matting system. Building entrances can be made safer, cleaner, and more aesthetically pleasing with the use of entry matting systems, sometimes referred to as entrance mats or entrance flooring.
When considering entrance mat specifications, the choice between closed and open construction is significant. Closed construction mats excel at trapping dirt within their grooves, allowing for easy surface vacuuming. This makes them highly efficient and recommended for environments with heavy foot traffic. In contrast, open construction mats have holes that let dirt fall through, keeping the surface
cleaner and making them the perfect exterior matting solution. Although they require more intensive cleaning efforts and the process of lifting these mats from their recesses can be laborious, the effort is crucial for maintaining their effectiveness and longevity. While both types have their benefits, closed construction mats are typically more durable and easier to maintain.
